The problem
Insufficient supply of dairy products for people allergic to cow's milk protein.
The solution we used
A visit to a local farm involved in goat breeding and the production of goat milk products.
Implementation
We organized an excursion for the second year students of the Hotel Academy to a local goat farm near Trenčín - Vlčí vrch.
Our intention was to make young people aware that the offer of goat's milk products is an ideal alternative to consuming dairy products and the associated health benefits also for people allergic to milk protein. The added value was that the students had the opportunity to observe how the young people - the owners of the farm - put their idea into practice: to produce healthy organic food. The students had the opportunity to try milking and feeding the goats and taste goat's milk and cheese. In this way, stereotypes about goat's milk and its products were broken down in a non-violent way.
