The problem
Vegetables are often not eaten on time. Potatoes are particularly vulnerable here and tend to sprout.
The solution we used
Instead of throwing them away, you can also plant them.
Implementation
The germinating potatoes are moistened a few days before planting to improve root formation. These can then be used either in the ground or, as we do, in a mortar box. You can also use a carrier bag, sack or bucket as a pot as long as it has a large volume, as the potatoes need a lot of space in the soil. So that the potatoes grow better, the sprouts can be repeatedly covered with soil. The new potatoes can be dug up in 3-4 months.
