The problem
The City of Dunkirk wanted to combine raising awareness on food issues with fun activities for young people.
The solution we used
The idea was to propose a challenge for young chefs based on the TV show Top Chef. The theme was to fight against food waste.
Implementation
All four of the town's leisure centers were involved, and proposed their own recipe.
The competition took place in three stages:
Week 1: The children chose their recipe, which was validated by the head chef.
Week 2: The children went to the central kitchen to develop and test their recipe with the town's head chef.
Week 3: On the day of the competition, the children produced and presented their recipe to a jury of local renowned chefs.
